Mason’s Story A couple of weeks ago we were blessed to celebrate the 25th birthday of this handsome smiling boy. Mason was a perfectly formed 9½ lb. baby boy. However, he was deprived of oxygen for 6½ hours during his birth resulting in a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy & Seizure Disorder. Originally the doctors said he wouldn’t live until the age of 2 and then revised that to the age of 15. Thankfully they were wrong! His cognitive level has always remained at 8 months old. Mason is considered to be “total care” as he is unable to walk or talk, has a feeding tube, catheter, etc. He has to be moved from his wheelchair to his bed using a Hoyer Lift. Mason’s Need Many of you have known Mason since he was little and have followed his journey and know what a treasure he is to our family. As he has grown (now 6 ft.!) his needs have changed.
