String Cheese’s Vet Fund
String Cheese recently underwent a health crisis, requiring emergency hospitalization starting on 7/8 due to a urethral blockage. The situation was critical, and we were fortunate to bring him in just in time to prevent a fatal outcome. He was discharged on the morning of 7/11 and initially seemed to be recovering well. Given this ongoing risk, the veterinary team recommended a PU (perineal urethrostomy) surgery to widen his urethra and reduce the likelihood of future blockages. Post-surgery, he will require medication for an extended period, and a diet change to prevent urinary issues going forward.
