Newport Classic wood post cap has a flat top design and slips over standard 4x4 wood posts. Enhance and protect the tops of your deck, fence and gate posts with this traditional style post cap. Choose cedar or pressure treated wood. For 4x4 Wood Post: This cap is designed to fit over a nominal 4x4 wood post. Actual post measurement 3-1/2" Square. Opening measures 3-5/8" square. Measure the length and width of your post for the best fit.  Easy to Install:  Slips over the top of your post. See manufacturer's instructions below.  To attach each post cap style to the post, apply an exterior-grade silicone adhesive to the underside of the post cap and place firmly on the post As with all wood products, we recommend that you coat these with a high-quality exterior finish to preserve the wood’s natural beauty and ensure a lifetime of enjoyment.
