
Historical Yeshua and His Resurrection, The
Dr. Doug Taylor, Instructor The entirety of this course would focus on the historical Yeshua, how we know He actually lived and walked in first century Judea (and I make a point here that Yeshua did NOT walk in Palestine because Palestine did not yet exist), how we know He died by crucifixion, the disciples’ despair, the disciples having experiences with the risen Yeshua, the transformation of those disciples, multiple attestation of sources and forms, the early proclamation of the risen Yeshua, and Paul. These are the strongest arguments for the risen Messiah. Based on time we can also examine the empty tomb, the Jerusalem Factor (you don’t start a new religion with a dying-and-rising Savior in the same city where you claim He’s risen unless the tomb is really empty), and James.
