this beautiful pair of rare purple transferware plates would look so great stacked on a wall. made in Staffordshire, England by Podmore Walker & Co. in the early 1800's. the pattern "Minerva" refers to the Roman Goddess of Wisdom. smaller plate: 9" diameter larger plate: 10" diameter both plates in very good antique condition. no chips or cracks.
