BEGINNER HOOP GUIDE If you are a beginner hooper I recommend you get at least a 32" hoop or bigger. The bigger the hoop the slower the rotation, helping you learn new tricks faster. The bigger hoops make learning on body hooping much easier and smaller hoops tend to work better for most off body tricks. I also recommend 3/4" tubing, polypro or HDPE will work. Adding grip tape to your hoop will prevent the hoop from slipping off your body, add it to help you nail those new tricks faster!
