Jim: Grieving Dad’s Death (LMS #13)
In this session, Jesus does a beautiful job of helping Jim work through childhood pain regarding his dad, appreciate his dad, and then grieve his dad's death. (Session length: 84 minutes) Immanuel approach Basic to intermediate principles and process Low to moderate intensity Jim begins the ministry time by focusing on a memory of a past positive experience with Jesus. In the context of this positive memory, Jim refreshes his connection with Jesus and then engages directly with Jesus regarding his Dad. At the six-month follow-up interview, Jim reports a number of lasting positive changes, including decreased anxiety (in general), feeling "more settled" regarding his father, and increased times of intimate connection with the Lord during his personal devotional times.
