When I write this it is just over 10 years since I took this image. I had my good friend Alec Von Bargen visiting from the USA at the time. It was Mars 19/2011 a rather cold day but I was going to show him some parts of Iceland, so we made a decision to drive to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula instead of going the traditional route to the south. On our way we spotted a few horses in the snow a little far away inside a fence. We got out and I went inside the fence and started walking towards the horses. When they started to come to me I started taking photographs from a prone position. This image is one of the images that started my career as a photographer along with another image on this side the Black Stallion.
