The Iolite vaporizer does not require batteries or cords and is powered by butane. "Recharging" your Iolite is as simple as refilling the butane, which will deliver up to 2 hours of continuous aromatic blend vaporization. The Iolite features a patented Flameless butane catalytic heater and precision bi-metal thermostat to ensure your blend is heated, not burned and no waiting in between pulls for heat up or cool down. The Iolite vaporizer is made to work at altitudes below 5,200 ft.  This is a limitation of butane power devices.  If a simple butane lighter will work at your elevation, the Iolite should work fine as well.
