Over the centuries, it became a haven for artists, writers, and performers, particularly in the 20th century, attracting figures like Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and James Baldwin. Inside its walls, there is a labyrinth of narrow, winding cobblestone streets that lead to the heart of the village.  This is fitting, for the salvaged lot we reclaimed from a French country home in Saint-Paul-de-Vence is small, like the medieval cobblestones we walked upon to arrive at the salvaged site.  I love love this reclaimed terra cotta tile lot.  Its beautiful color range reminds me of a field filled with beautiful French wild flowers.  The stone-like, smooth pa
