Cardamine Lyrata sp Vitnem, Japanese Cress, Chinese Ivy, Aquatic Plants, Terrarium Plants
It originated from streambanks and other wet places in East Asia, also named Japanese Cress, Chinese Ivy. Under water, it is quite undemanding, forms long and slender stems with roundish leaves, except that its optimum temperature is about 64 °F - 73°F ( 18-23°C). Above 80°F ( 27°C ), this plant grows increasingly smaller leaves. High light and CO2 can keep this plant low growing to create a dense bush of foliage which can have a dramatic appearance in an aquascape. Above water, in its somewhat wild, vine-like habit is good for nature setups. In its terrestrial form, it is also suited for moist to wet soil in terrariums and it may bloom in tiny white flowers but it is very rare.Propagate by trimming stems and replanting on pulling apart dense clumps.Origin: VietnamHeight: 5-8”pH: 5-8Care: EasyLight: MediumCo2: RecommendPropagation: CuttingsGrowth Rate: Medium to fast
