Kast-O-Lite 26 5#

This is a 2600 degree F, High Alumina Castable Refractory for making forges. You can cast the entire refractory liner for a forge or just the floor using this material! This material is resistant to flux.  This material has a much better thermal conductivity rating than Mizzou castable...a castable forge doesn't have to be expensive to operate! - 2600 degree temperature rating - Flux resistant- Low thermal conductivity = highly insulating compared to Mizzou- Density = 86 lb/ft^3- Mix with water at a ratio of 11# or 1.2 gallons of water per 55#- This material has a thermal conductivity of 4.0 btu-in/hr-F-ft^2 at 2000 degrees F and conducts almost 46% less heat through the forge shell at 2000 degrees F as compared to Mizzou.
