Both sides fail to keep control due to the island mass eventually sinking back under due its instability, and as the Joes are airlifted out in time, the Cobras have to swim home, their air transports not returning in time (not to mention their possible aquatic transports, the two Bugg vehicles present, were destroyed by the Joes new heavy weapons vehicle, the Rolling Thunder).
