The prayer illuminates the difference between how Kuntuzangpo, the original Buddha, perceives phenomena and how ordinary sentient beings perceive phenomena. Ordinary beings’ dualistic perception of the inner mind and outer phenomena as separate is the root of confusion and the subsequent generation of karma and suffering. This is the nature of samsara.
