Here’s a very hard-to-find gorgeous Hand Hammered 22”. I’ve only seen 2 of these before. Istanbul spared no expense in the research and craftsmanship of this gorgeous Tony Williams Jazz Rock Ride - all of it with the blessing of Tony’s wife, Colleen Williams.Mehmet offered two different Rides in the Tony Williams Tribute Series, the 60s era and the Jazz Rock Ride. This being the latter - it celebrates Tony’s forays into more amplified fusion music and is closer in weight to his famous Istanbul K 22”. The 2572 grams gives it a stronger stick attack without being overbearing or clanky. It plays like a Medium Thin to Medium, and has a very strong, solid bell. When crashed up, it delivers lightning-like accents and can really roar when you lay into the edge. Gorgeous rounded over and robust bell that cuts exceptionally well. This 22” is so gorgeous it could easily live its entire life as a big dark crash and be happy! Strong penetration in a mix, semi-dark, fantastic attack, but all with t
