Lake Superior Water Level Agate Silver Ring Size 7 Wisconsin Agate

This Lake Superior agate ring features an incredible multicolor water level type agate with a bit of fortification pattern on one side. I cut this from a small agate I found in northern WI. This agate has really beautiful banding. I used recycled silver for everything in this design except the bezel that rings the stone. The band and base of the setting are my hand forged and formed silver. I patterned the underside of the setting as well as the ring band with an abstract pattern then antiqued the ring (intentional darkening of the silver) to bring out the detail in the patterns. The stone measures about 14 x 10 in mm. I cut it in a domed oval.
