Different Trains Cabinet Narrow
Different Trains was named after Steve Reich’s contemporary composition of the same name. The sliding movement of the compact laminate doors on the cabinet facade have a visual rhythm that recalls the movement of sounds in the composition. Long planks of solid hardwood create a cabinet with an open form, while the sliding doors articulating the facade partially conceal the cabinet contents, engaging play between positive and negative space. Available in two widths and one, two or three tiers, various configurations are possible. The wide/single tier version particularly lends itself to use as an A/V unit, while the taller units function well as room dividers.
