Oral Language Development Series

The Oral Language Development Series supports foundational literacy skills by providing tools for students to learn and manipulate different language structures through interaction with texts. Includes one copy of each of the 102 books in the series. Books are divided into 7 Topic Sets: school, family, food, clothing, pets, farm animals, and senses. Each topic set is organized around language structures (LS) that progress in a research-based order: LS Entry – Wordless Book LS 1 – Simple Sentence LS 2 – Simple Sentence with Prepositional Phrase LS 3 – Simple Sentence with Conjunction LS 4 –Sentence with Prepositional Phrase and Conjunction LS 5 –Sentence with Relative Pronoun LS 6 – Sentence with Adverbial Clause LS 7 – Sentence with Multiple Structures Includes a teacher’s guide with instructions about using wordless books for formative assessments. The goal of this series is for students to use language structures independently in a variety of situations.
