This leadership training program has been designed to support leadership teams [including Human Resource professionals] in understanding the risks, needs and responsibilities associated with managing workplace conflicts, whether from internal staff or external stakeholders. The leadership program looks at effective planning measures to identify possible risks, and to mitigate these in a sensible and appropriate manner. The course looks at the roles and responsibilities of the leadership team as well as key persons within, or supportive of, that team. The course reflects on what support and resourcing needs, or equipment, may accompany effective conflict resolution strategies, the sensible modification to office structuring and layouts, the risks to vulnerable people, how to hold and configure safe meetings, and what response protocols can be instigated to defuse a violent situation, extract threatened staff, or reduce the potential for physical and emotional harm to occur.
