BC045_English: Command and Control for Leaders

The Command and Control for leaders program of instruction focuses on the immediate control of an incident during the initial seconds, minutes and hours of an event; the ‘Golden Hour’. This course assists leaders in gaining an understanding, and critically control of, an emergency situation in order to limit the potential effects of a crisis situation. The course looks at a systematic approach to leadership strategies and practices, how leadership structures can be used to control an event, effective methodologies which can be applied (including the requirement to adopt different leadership styles: autocratic verses democratic) during crisis events which will allow leadership teams to make rapid, well informed and effective decisions – under duress – and in a manner which allows for the timely resolution of an incident, and understanding the primacy of command and methods by which to transfer seamless activities and responsibilities.
