Fair. Hardcover. Thomas claims that the advances of the 19th century in all areas of life were due to the influence of Universalism. A very good history that mentions scores of names, pastors, churches, &c. With an index. Abel Charles Thomas (1807-1880), b. Philadelphia, PA; d. Tacony, PA. "A Universalist minister whose most important pastorate was at the Lombard Street Church, Philadelphia, 1830-1839, and again 1848-1863. A controversial writer and speaker.
