This kit is designed to allow the installation of the superior 1999-2005 NB shock hats on 1990-1997 NA Miata's. Installing NB shock hats on an NA (using the NA shocks) will provide about a 3/4" drop in ride height - but 3/4" more gain in shock travel - which is perfect for some drivers looking for a better-looking stance with the stock spring rates. Add in our high-performance MCU (micro-cellular urethane) shock mount bushings and you'll also improve handling and noise isolation performance over the OEM rubber bushings that are originally installed on the NB shock hat system This kit is essentially our 5XR non-coil over shock mount kit minus the bump stops.
