Alpine Climb Up Forbidden Peak: A Classic North Cascades Alpine Route Discover the history and  position of Climbing Forbidden Peak Forbidden Peak is one of the North Cascades' 50 classic moderate alpine climbs. This adventure takes you from camp across the Pocket Glacier to the toe of the Cat Scratch Gullies. Here, you'll climb moderate rock or snow en route to the iconic West Ridge of Forbidden Peak. Experience pitch after pitch of classic ridge climbing up the Gendarme to the summit. Descend by downclimbing and rappelling back to the Pocket Glacier and then return to camp. Adventure Options: 3-Day Climb: Focuses primarily on ascending the West Ridge of Forbidden Peak. 4-Day Adventure: Includes additional climbs on Shark Fin Tower, Aguile D'Is, Sahale, or the North Ridge of Forbidden. 5-Day Adventure: Offers a combination of climbs including Shark Fin, West Ridge, Torment, or Sahale.
