This Taylor 657ce Doce Doble was made in early 2024 and it's in excellent, lightly played condition. We sold this guitar new and we took back in trade against a smaller bodied instrument. At first glance, the 657ce Doce Doble looks like a regular 12-string guitar but when you look more closely, you’ll notice that all the courses are tuned in unison and not octaves. This gives the guitar an amazing low end roar that is almost too much fun to play. The Doce Doble uses Big Leaf Maple for the back and sides and Sitka Spruce for the top. It’s based on the Grand Pacific round-shoulder dreadnought body shape and has V-Class bracing. Like its sibling, the 657e Bajo Quinto, this beauty draws visual inspiration from classic Mexican guitar styles, with a sharp Florentine cutaway offering access to the upper register.
