2007 Martin Golden Era D-18GE 1934 Used

Yep, it's a D-18 Golden Era, but it's from when Martin was focusing some GE models on a particular year, in this case 1934. So along with forward-shifted scalloped top braces and the bigger neck you also get 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. Beautiful Adirondack top on this one, and it's from before torrefaction became the hot new thang so no VTS, and unlike Authentic models it has an adjustable truss rod. It has been played, there's very light fret wear and one ding in the top finish behind the bridge plus pick/finger scuffs to the pickguard. Note the cool bridge pins and end pin, which are probably fossilized walrus tooth, added by the previous owner (original pins were plain black celluloid). This is a great sounding D-18, with the characteristic clarity and sparkle of a pre-war style Martin mahogany D and plenty of headroom if you sometimes play hard. Original case is equally clean.
