
1967 Martin D-28 Steel String Acoustic Guitar- Used
This Martin D-28 was made in 1967, the same year as Paul McCartney’s. This is a great sounding guitar with a well-balanced bass to treble. It responds well to a flatpick but it also sounds sweet when you’re fingerpicking something like, say, Blackbird. It’s in excellent structural condition and very good cosmetic condition. There are a few minor scuffs and scrapes here and there, and one repaired back crack that runs along the center strip. There is one small crack in the top under the high E string, which was caused when the pickguard shrank. We released the pickguard from the top and reglued it. This D-28 was made in early 1967, so it still has a tortoishell-colored pickguard. Martin switched to black acetate a few months after the guitar was built. It doesn't look like this guitar has had a neck rest but it has been refretted. Also,sometime in the past it looks like the fingerboard was planed, which was a common way of dealing with high action back in the 1970s. We replaced the br
