PCAN-PCI Express FD: 4 Channel
The PCAN-PCI Express FD card with 4 channels uses PCI Express slots to connect a PC to a CAN FD or a Classic CAN network. The first 2 DB9 channels are on the card itself, and the other 2 DB9 channels come out to a second slot bracket and connect to the card via ribbon cables. The card comes with free PCAN-View Windows software, as well as with the PCAN-Basic API. Advanced software and APIs are available. This device offers an increased bandwidth for data transfers capable of up to 64 data bytes per CAN FD frame and transmits with a bit rate up to 12 Mbit/s. With galvanic isolation, the device is able to achieve up to 500 Volts between a computer and CAN sides. The CAN FD is downward-compatible to the CAN 2.0 A/B standard and therefore can be used with existing networks.
