This is beautiful dyed cotton roving in Paradise, a beautiful sea green. This listing is for 1 oz., which is the amount shown in the photographs. Larger amounts can be ordered upon request. This natural fiber has a soft, silky texture and a soft sheen. Cotton works beautifully in wet felted garments where the fibers get worked into the felted wool to make unique organic patterns and create a silky finish. It also makes a lovely addition to needled felted wool paintings and sculptures where you might desire a unique texture and a bit of sheen and luster. Because cotton fibers do not have the same qualities as wool, it will not felt on its own. it needs to be either blended with another fiber before felting; or if using on its own, work it into an easily felting fiber such as wool. This cotton roving can also be blended with other fibers for spinning.
