Ahulabrum is a black metal projectfounded in the mid 00s. After releasingthree demos focused on alien encountersand UFOology the project went dormant in2006. However, 2020 saw the re-releaseof all three demos and an LP compilingthem along with unreleased material. Then2021 saw the project come bursting backto life with unreleased archival materialfinally seeing the light of day, along with aslew of brand new recordings. Ingrid Coldhas kept up the pace as his Ahulubrumproject continues to pump out material,each release more bizarre and twistedthan the last.This is the long awaited vinyl release ofthe project’s noisiest release to date.“Strange Lights Portend Their Presence”sees Ingrid Cold strip away even the rawest black metal structures in favor of a wall of purechaos and formless, grinding texture. The release traces the mythology surrounding Sasquatchwith “vocals” and “drums” provided by alleged recordings of bigfoot vocalizations andwood-knockings respectively.
