There are 8 main Hawaiian Islands. This necklace has 8 Handmade Wood Beads to represent each of the Islands.  The Handmade Hawaiian Koa Beads are a type of wood endemic to the Hawaii Islands and are known to reflect strength and courage. The word Koa means “Warrior” and the wood was used in ancient Hawaii for making surfboards. Moss Agate is considered a stone of abundance with calming subtle energies. It is thought to be imbued with healing energies. Lava Stone can be used to diffuse essential oils by adding a few drops of a diluted solution onto the stones. Lava Stone is believed to be a grounding stone that increases courage in the wearer. This necklace like our Malas are hand-knotted in between each bead for durability and to prevent hair snagging. This necklace is also considered a half Mala with 54 beads and a slightly bigger Wood Bead for the Guru.  Price includes shipping and taxes!  Interested in browsing more Malas?
