Artist: Claude Lorrain (c. 1600 - 1682) was a famous French painter, who lived and worked in Italy.Engraver: Richard Earlom (1743 – 1822) was an English mezzotinter. Title (as is in the descriptive catalog): [Vol.II]. No.130. A view of the Sea, with the effect of the Sun. Claude himself is seen drawing on the Shore. (1777 ed.). No.130. The Artist seated on the Seashore, drawing from the surrounding scenery. A fine breezy morning. (1819 ed.). The Possessors of the Drawings:  From the Original Drawing, in the Collection of the Duke of Devonshire.Signed, Numbered, and Dated in the plate in italic: Claude le Lorrain delint. E.
