Very interesting Leblanc Paris Bb clarinet with a special register mechanism. Serial number 2339. Although no accurate list of Leblanc serial numbers survives, we estimate this clarinet was made in the 1930s. In the 1930s and 1940s Leon Leblanc, a master clarinetist, designed and built some professional models with special mechanisms. This one features a register mechanism activated by the throat A key that opens a register hole or a Bb hole depending on if the A key is open. Raw nickel silver mechanism, no cracks, the mechanism is tight. In its original case which appears to be leather covered, and original G. Leblanc rubber mouthpiece that has had teeth area filled. Includes standard length barrel and short barrel. Please see the photographs. $925 plus shipping. The craftsmanship represented in this instrume
