This art doll was completed in September of 2022 and is made entirely of wool (domestically sourced), with a shape inspired by the majestic Fat-Tailed Sheep.Needle felting is a very slow and laborious process, especially when you are working with very soft, fine, fibers like Merino - this piece took around a day and a half to complete.The process ends with burning away most of the loose hairs with a hot metal rod, which results in a smooth but still soft and fuzzy finish.
