MEDIHONEY® Calcium Alginate Dressing

McKesson MEDIHONEY® Absorbent Calcium Alginate Dressing   Absorbent primary wound dressing made of Active Leptospermum Honey impregnated into a calcium alginate pad.  As exudate is absorbed, the alginate forms a gel, which assists in maintaining a moist environment for optimal wound healing.    Use With: Moderate to heavily exuding wounds such as: diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers (venous stasis ulcers, arterial ulcers, and leg ulcers of mixed etiology), pressure injuries (partial and full thickness), first and second-degree partial thickness burns, donor sites, and traumatic and surgical wounds. Recommend to use this product under the care and instructions of a healthcare professional. Change frequency will depend on the level of wound exudate.  Reapply when dressing has reached its absorbent capacity or as directed by a wound care professional.    Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing (such as a super absorbent dressing, foam, or island/composite.)    Safety Data Sheet   Prod
