It is a cool autumn night and the moon is full and bright. You stroll upon your favorite path, barely noticing the other world that thrives just out of site in the dark. In passing you might muse upon the shadows and how they seem just a liiiittle longer tonight. But your mind disregards this thought just as soon as it pops in your head. Out of the corner of your eye you see something glint in a dark alcove. "Nothing to fear," you say to yourself, "it's probably nothing." You go along your merry way, oblivious to the dance of life and death playing out in the long shadows. For yes, the shadows ARE longer tonight. They creep across the ground like the fingers of a ghoul searching for its next victim. For tonight you bask in the light of a hunter's moon, and the glint you saw was not your imagination, but the eyes of a black cat, cute to some, yet feared by others. They're waiting for their chance to pounce upon some unsuspecting mouse, as the moon is high and the night is ripe for the p
