Walnut Edge Grain Cutting Board with Mahogany and Maple Stripe with Juice Groove

Handmade edge grain cutting board.  Measures approximately 17.5" x 11.5" x 1.25". Edge Grain cutting surfaces are considered knife-friendly and more hygienic compared to other materials like plastic or glass cutting boards. Edge-grain cutting boards are constructed by gluing together strips of premium hardwoods side by side leaving the wood fibers to run horizontally.  Knife marks on the board can easily be removed with a light sanding and application of a food grade mineral oil and wax to reveal a fresh, new cutting surface.
