
Antique Pewter Deep Basin Touch of Thomas Danforth Boardman Hartford Connecticut
Description: An antique deep pewter basin or bowl having a flat narrow rim with an incised line and rolled edge. The bowl has a round flat base with rounded edge and rising sides. The sides of the bowl are slightly rounded and flared outwards rising to the flat rim. The bowl is marked in the center of the inside with an Eagle surrounded by a double border having little circles with the letters "...D.B." below it all (The mark of Thomas Danforth Boardman-Mark no. 38 in Jacob's book). The bowl, which we believe is form the early to mid 1800s is rather substantial and very well made. The bowl has a nice light grayish with silver highlights patina. A great looking 200 years old pewter basin made in Harford Connecticut. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
