1980s Lead Glazed Redware Figurine Poodle Standing with Basket in Mouth Marked LMH TCP
Description: A great looking lead glazed redware figurine of a poodle standing on all four and holding a fruit basket in its mouth. The piece has brown coloring with black highlights throughout. The dog is standing on a oval base and shows quite a bit of details throughout. It shows the details of its coat, its eyes, its mouth its looped tail, its toes and the basket in its mouth. It is our belief that this piece was made sometime in 1980s. It is marked on the base "LMH TCP Lead Glaze" in block letters. The piece is solid and as such would have been very difficult to fire to ensure that it does not crack. A beautiful decorative piece of redware worthy of a spot in your Americana or contemporary redware collection.
