Description: A nice about uncirculated or better banknote from Egypt. This is the 26th May 1948 one pound currency note. The banknote, which was issued by the "National Bank of Egypt" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd., New Malden Surrey, England, has a blue design on multicolored background on the front. The front also has a brown circle to the right with the image of Tutankhamen. The back of the note is green with a design showing a mosque in the center. The note is signed by F. Leith-Ross the governor of the National Bank of Egypt at the time. The note has the denomination spelled out in the center of the front and in Roman numerals to the left of the back. This particular note has the serial number 191210 displayed three times on the front and is series J/107. The note has one signature displayed on the front center near the bottom.
