Blue Tourmaline Faceted

10 mm round 3.25 carats This unique and spectacular blue tourmaline comes from Afghanistan. The center is an intense blue with a gradual lessening of color depth as you get to the periphery of the stone. I used a special piece of rough that was clear but had an intense blue color at the cutlet (bottom). Cut this in a classical diamond cut pattern with 58 facets called ‘Old Faithful’ and the two toned appearance of this special stone resulted! A truly unique and Intensely blue colored gem that is completely natural.
