Slinky Art Deco Celluloid & Rhinestone Snake Bangle
A slinky Art Deco bangle bracelet in the form of stylized snakes. The bangle is a coil of marmalade-colored celluloid; each terminal is a serpent's head, heat-set with bright green rhinestone eyes. Orange rhinestones run down each snake's spine. This bangle is slim, with a small amount of flexibility. Fabulous and fun, like the Flapper who wore it one hundred years ago. Circa 1920. Celluloid is a synthetic plastic that was initially used as a substitute for ivory and other expensive materials. Details.....The bracelet has a 3" diameter, with a 7.85" inner circumference. It graduates from .27" to .65" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. Some wear should always be expected in vintage and antique jewelry; we consider it to be a part of their charm. Item #JJ1177
