In 1964, Pilot introduced its first Capless push-button system fountain pen. It had one of the most complex mechanisms that Pilot had ever produced. It was named "Knock-shiki" which means "push-knob system." The Knock-shiki system was released with several Capless fountain pens. This particular pen is the C300GW. It was offered in Black, Red, and Green, and it featured gold plated trim.  The Pilot Capless is unique in the sense that it has a retractable nib unit system. With the push of a button, the nib is extended and ready to write. Similar to a ballpoint pen.  - Manufacturer/Model: Pilot Capless C-300GW- Year of Manufacture: September, 1965- Color: Black, Gold- Material: Resin, Metal- Nib: 14K Gold Extra-Fine- Filling System: Pilot Proprietary Cartridge/Converter (Original Pilot Short Cartridge Included) - Condition Rank: (C) Good Condition.- Country of Manufacture: Japan Condition Rank Guide:-N: Item is in New Old Stock condition (NOS).
