Curly's 8" Speaker Grills (Sold in Pairs) Curly’s New 8-inch Speaker Grills. We wanted to make a universal 8-inch Speaker Grill that can be used for any build. Our Speaker Grills are 3/4 inch tall and have 1/2 inch to allow cone travel. Most speaker grills are only 1/2 inch tall and need a 1/4 inch spacer for the cone, so we eliminated that problem by machining ours taller. No more need for plastic spacers.
