It’s 2023 and now you can play Game Boy titles on the Nintendo Switch! To celebrate real retro gaming on the Switch, we made this White Game Boy set of custom Joy-Cons.In 2001, Nintendo released it’s 32-bit successor to the Game Boy Color - the Game Boy Advance (GBA) - the first “landscape” design of the beloved handheld, introducing us to a new way of playing: With a bigger colorful screen in the middle, AB buttons and a d-pad on the right and left and shoulder buttons. While the first generation of the Game Boy Advance lacked a much needed lit screen, which made a few game titles almost impossible to play, it boasted great graphic capabilities and battery life, alongside a design that became almost an industry standard for later handhelds. This Joy-Con mod is a tip of the hat from us to this wonderful piece of gaming hardware, in indigo colored shells and white buttons, unmistakably Advance.
