Rambutan, scientifically known as Nephelium lappaceum is a tropical fruit native to the regions of Southeast Asia. Rambutan is related to the Lychee and Longan, hence the similar appearance once peeled. The outer shell of a Rambutan is bright red and covered in flexible hairs.
