This is an inline pump, to be used out of water or submersed. If used out of water, you will need a priming pot or another makeship device to prime. At the least, the pump will need to be primed by fitting below the water level. Ceramic shaft. 12' cord. 160 gallons per hour. The filter case pops off if used inline, Then you can connect to 1/2" PVC male or use an adapter, as shown in picture below, to connect to vinyl tubing.
