About the Artwork The Prawn Nebula, also known as IC 4628, is an emission nebula located in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way, around 6,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Scorpius. It forms part of the tail of the "False Comet" anchored by the bright open cluster NGC 6231 The glowing jumble of gas clouds visible in the image makes up a huge stellar nursery nicknamed the Prawn Nebula. Taken using the VLT Survey Telescope at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile, this may well be the sharpest picture ever taken of this object. It shows clumps of hot new-born stars nestled in among the clouds that make up the nebula This particular otherworldly astronomy image is a showcase piece that is composed of the perfect blends of artistic intelligence and well-defined balance. This wall print is almost certain to complement the confines of your space with its majestic grandeur and high-resolution details.
