French Elevation - Louvre

About the Artwork A simply divine rendering of the Louvre, originally released in the 1750s by Jacques-François Blondel, noted professor and architect to Louis XV, in his Architecture Françoise. It shows, in elevation, the courtyard side of Claude Perault's Collonade, built nearly a century earlier and considered to be the absolute epitome of French Classicism. We've reproduced the rendering on a magnificent scale, to suit the glamour of the subject and highlight the brilliant detail of the original engraving.
