About the Artwork A simply divine rendering of the Louvre, originally released in the 1750s by Jacques-François Blondel, noted professor and architect to Louis XV, in his Architecture Françoise. It shows, in elevation, the courtyard side of Claude Perault's Collonade, built nearly a century earlier and considered to be the absolute epitome of French Classicism. We've reproduced the rendering on a magnificent scale, to suit the glamour of the subject and highlight the brilliant detail of the original engraving. Because this print is made to order, your print may vary slightly in color and vintage appearance as each print we try to make of this is simply one of a kind. Our version has a clean border and does not look like torn paper.
