His translator introduced him to a dear friend, Sasha, who claimed these as the best tomato in all of Siberia. He had bred them to thrive in his harsh mountain garden and walked 35 km each way to gift them to Bill. A true treasure. These early maturing 3-5 oz red slicers have a much firmer, meatier texture than other early varieties. Famous for its flavor, Sasha's Altai was chosen by Organic Garden Magazine as one of the 10 best early tomatoes in the world.
