This listing is for a similar fossil to those shown in the photos. a small piece will measure between 1-2 cm and a medium piece measures 3-5 cm from end to end. These Tyrannosaurus rex bone fragments are just a small portion of what the full bone used to be, but only these weathered out fragments were found, making them a great way to own a t. rex fossil at a reduced cost. They were found in Wyoming and come from the Lance Creek Formation, an area rich in dinosaur fossils.  Tyrannosaurs were large carnivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous (approximately 80.6 to 66 million years ago). Their size varied between species, but all varieties could grow to weigh at least 1 metric ton! Two main tyrannosaurs have been described  Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex) and Nanotyrannus. The latter is hotly debated among paleontologists, as many believe that Nanotyrannus fossils simply represent juvenile T. rex.
